Readers will be enticed by the mystery of pirates and treasure hunting. But alongside this, there are strong familial bonds and a bit of romance. The story seems to focus a bit more on family and mystery rather than romance though, like many of White’s other novels. Readers may be disappointed as they struggle to get into the book in the beginning, but if they stick with it, they will not be disappointed. Once again, White has delivered a story that readers will appreciate.
