To make matters worse, when she prays for guidance, she’s answered with a challenge instead: To encourage her friend to find a wife—whether he wants one or not. Will she lose her friend just when she needs a friend the most? Will she be able to weather the storms she’s about to face? About the Author
Faith Blum started writing at an early age. She started even before she could read! She even thought she could write better than Dr. Seuss. (The picture doesn't show it well, but there are scribblings on the page of Green Eggs and Ham). Now that she's grown up a little more, she knows she will probably never reach the success of Dr. Seuss, but that doesn't stop her from trying.
When she isn't writing, Faith enjoys doing many right-brained activities such as reading, crafting, writing, playing piano, and playing games with her family. One of her dreams is to visit Castle City, Montana someday to see the ghost town she chose for her characters to live in. She currently lives on a hobby farm with her family in Wisconsin. Author Interview with Faith BlumReview
Faith Blum’s book four in the Hymns of the West story, Lily of the Valley, is an excellent read with a strong Christian presence. Common themes that fill the novel are faith, family, overcoming hardships, and hope. The characters are richly developed, complimenting and enhancing this enjoyable western themed story. Readers will fall in love with the characters within the first few chapters of the book as they appreciate the exciting adventure, friendship, and romance during the course of the story. I would recommend this novel to readers that enjoy western romance novels with a strong Christian base.

She glanced up at Clinton. He looked like the poster boy for the NFL. Finely chiseled features, crisply cut black hair, dark brown eyes that could dissect a defense in less than ten seconds. He was known for his ability to adjust a play on the fly, to take risks, to think outside the box. What line had he crossed?
He caught her stare and smiled. It wasn’t a smile that found humor in the situation. Or one to charm. It was the same smile he gave competitors when he was under center calling a play. It said, “I’ve got this.” It said, “Bring it on.” It said, “You have no idea what’s coming your way.” Clinton Hadley didn’t have this. And an attitude like that was detrimental to Brenda’s success. Marbury Wilson had been clear on the phone this morning. Clinton had to make the game on Sunday, or she’d be fired. And considering the way she’d left her last job, only the most desperate firm would touch her if Marbury let her go. Uncle John stared down at Brenda. The furrows he’d earned over years of serving on the bench deepened. He brushed back his peppery hair and reviewed Clinton’s file once more before reading the charges aloud. “I’ve seen you in my courtroom far too often lately, Mr. Hadley. How do you plead?” “Not guilty,” Clinton said in a firm voice. The district attorney’s grin found humor in Clinton’s plea and a back door into Brenda’s competitive streak. “Your Honor, I’d like to call the arresting officer to the stand.” Clinton leaned down to whisper in her ear again. “He’s going to tell the truth.” She noted Clinton’s smile, his intensity, his air of complete domination. In any other circumstance, she’d be happy to see a man with an ego like that go down. “Maybe you should try it sometime,” she whispered back. “The truth, that is. I hear it’ll set you free.” His dark eyes glittered and she felt another stake of awareness. “Not guilty. Not taking the stand either.” He shot a half-glance over his shoulder to the media in the peanut gallery. He valued privacy over freedom? If he wanted to play on Sunday, he didn’t have the luxury. “You leave me no choice,” Brenda whispered. “But to throw you on the mercy of the court.” Change of Heart by Molly Jebber

Though Danae is ready to consider adoption, Dallas will not even discuss it. Despairing of ever having a family of her own, Danae decides to pour her passion and energies into volunteer work with a newly opened women’s shelter in town. Looking for a good cause to fill her lonely days, she never expects to give her heart to the hurting women she meets there. She’s finally learning to live her life with gratitude, but then heart-wrenching events on Thanksgiving weekend threaten to pull the entire Whitman clan into turmoil—and leave them all forever changed. About the AuthorDeborah Raney’s books have won numerous awards, including the RITA, National Readers Choice Award, HOLT Medallion, and the Carol Award, and have twice been Christy Award finalists. She and her husband, Ken, recently traded small-town life in Kansas—the setting of many of Deborah’s novels—for life in the (relatively) big city of Wichita, where they enjoy gardening, antiquing, movies, and traveling to visit four children and a growing brood of grandchildren who all live much too far away. Author Interview with Deborah RaneyReviewDeborah Reney’s latest release, Another Way Home, will delight readers with rich and well developed characters and a story that not only inspire its readers but will touch the core of their heart. A huge theme in this book is that sometimes life doesn’t always turn out the way you think it will. Life can throw us for a loop. But when life gets tough, a person has to fight back. In this story Deborah brings to light the true struggle of women who are unable to get pregnant and the emotions around that, as well as the devastating realities of mothers and children that leave abusive situations and seek help to get out of the situation and better their lives. Deborah has written a novel that will not only captivate readers from page one, but will have them reading and re-reading this novel along with others in this series. I would recommend this novel to readers that have enjoyed Deborah’s previous work, as well as those that enjoy reading about real-life situations. About the Book
The quiet village of Llanwddyn has long been a safe haven for Gwen, a young Welsh country girl whose life has been fraught with tragedy. Following the untimely death of her parents, it was her aunt's home in Llanwddyn that provided Gwen and her brother a refuge from their grief. Now, with the unwelcome news that the village is to be razed in the name of progress, an inescapable wave of change has begun.
When her brother departs to follow his dream of sailing the high seas, Gwen is left alone to navigate the shifting world around her. She soon finds herself relying on the support of her brother's best friend, Lewis, a gentle blacksmith whose kindness stirs her heart. Resigned to the fact that Lewis may never see her as more than a child, Gwen is soon swept off her feet by Thomas, a prosperous young Englishman. Torn between two men and two very different paths, Gwen has little time to determine what course her heart will follow. With time running out for her beautiful valley, will love come too late? About the BookTensions are high in small-town Tooele, Utah, during the Great Depression, but coach Sterling Harris knows football is the answer. With his job on the line, he makes a bold play to find victory for his team and unity for his town. Based on a true story, this inspiring book gives you a fresh perspective on the past and hope for the future. About the AuthorChad Robert Parker lived in six states growing up, and is the second of six boys. Each served two-year missions. He is the son of two great, humble parents. They taught him a love for family, church, and life. Chad is an avid sports fan and likes creating games. He also likes juggling; he chose to juggle publishing his first book with getting married and starting a new venture hosting anecdoting.com: a site to share and collect good everyday life stories. Chad works in the library at BYU and lives in beautiful Saratoga Springs, Utah, with his lovely wife. ReviewBased off a true story of struggling town in the Great Depression where the high school football coach thinks his sport is everything, Sterling Bridge by author Chad Robert Parker, is an intriguing story. This story teaches about passion, life, family, and hope. The many different characters in this story bring to light what life was like in the Great Depression, the struggle to survive, and the fight for something better. I would recommend this novel to football fans, as well as those that enjoy a story of inspiration. After all, nothing ever happens in Hidden Springs, Kentucky. Nothing, that is, until a dead body is discovered on the courthouse steps. Everyone in town is a little uneasy. Still, no one is terribly worried--after all the man was a stranger--until one of their own is murdered right on Main Street. As Michael works to solve the case it seems that every nosy resident in town has a theory. When the sheriff insists Michael check out one of these harebrained theories, his surprising discovery sends him on a bewildering search for a mysterious killer that has him questioning everything he has ever believed about life in Hidden Springs. Bringing with her a knack for creating settings you want to visit and an uncanny ability to bring characters to life, A. H. Gabhart pens a whodunit that will keep readers guessing. About the AuthorA.H. Gabhart (Ann H. Gabhart) caught the writing bug at the age of ten and has been writing ever since. An award winning author, she's published many books for both adults and young adults. Scent of Lilacs, her first inspirational novel, was chosen as a Top Ten Christian Fiction Book by Booklist magazine. Her Shaker novel, The Outsider, was a finalist for ECPA Christian Fiction Book of the Year and was a Top Pick by Romantic Times Book Review Magazine. Love Comes Home won the Selah Book of the Year award. Ann writes about Kentucky history and small town life and as A.H. Gabhart is the author of the Hidden Springs mysteries. Ann lives on a farm in Kentucky not far from where she was born. She and her husband have three children and nine grandchildren. Ann loves hiking on her farm with her grandkids and her dog, Oscar. ReviewA.H. Gabhart’s latest release cozy-mystery release, Murder at the Courthouse, was hard for me to get into. This contemporary novel begins with the murder of an unknown man on the courthouse steps of a small town. The back story for this is unclear, possibly intentionally to keep readers wondering who is involved in the murder and what the story of the murdered man is. Overall, this novel is fairly predictable, but does have some surprises. I would recommend this novel to readers that enjoy cozy-mystery novels. Review
Author Jennifer Silverwood will blow you away with her latest release, Craving Beauty. In this rendition of Beauty and the Beast, Jennifer has created a twist on the story that readers will fall in love with from page one. Although a little darker than I originally thought it would be, this novel is filled with a delightful story and excellently developed characters. Craving Beauty is the story of a girl who because she was burned in a fire that killed most of her family, she craves to be beautiful. So is she the true beast or is it the creature that holds her captive in the castle? Readers will greatly anticipate the next novel in this series. I would highly recommend this novel to readers that enjoy fantasy stories, as well as retellings of fairytales.

Katrina Stoltzfus thought she had life and love all figured out: she was going to marry John and live happily ever after. Those plans started to crumble when her father moved the family to Stoney Ridge, then completely collapsed when John decided to marry someone else. Katrina is devastated. How could she have felt so loved, yet been so deceived?
As she struggles to face a future without him, a widow asks for her help to start a new business and Katrina quickly agrees. She needs time to heal her broken heart, to untangle her messy life, to find a purpose. What she doesn't need is attention from Andy Miller, a farm hand who arrives at the widow's farm just when help is most needed--and who always seems to say the right thing, and be in the right place, at the right time. Is Andy for real, or too good to be true? Deceived once before, Katrina is determined to keep her feelings in check. When a cascade of events is set in motion by some surprising information, the little Amish church is turned upside down. Soon, everyone has a stake in the outcome, and the community struggles to find the best response to an imposter in their midst. Can they forgive even the most deceitful deeds? About the Author
Suzanne Woods Fisher is a bestselling author of Amish fiction and non-fiction. Her interest in the Amish began with her grandfather, who was raised Plain in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. She travels back east a couple of times each year for research. For fun, too.
Suzanne has a great admiration for the Plain people and believes they provide wonderful examples to the world. She has an underlying belief in her books–you don’t have to “go Amish” to incorporate many of their principles into your life: simplicity, living with less, appreciating nature, forgiving others more readily, trusting in God. When Suzanne isn’t writing, playing tennis, or bragging to her friends about her grandbabies (so cute!), she is raising puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind. To her way of thinking, you just can’t take life too seriously when a puppy is tearing through your house with someone’s underwear in its mouth. Interview with Suzanne Woods FisherReview
In her latest release, author Suzanne Wood Fisher’s The Imposter, she has written a beautiful and inspiring Amish story about mistakes, love, and forgiveness. From page one, Suzanne hooks readers with her relatable characters and delightful story. The Imposter is well written with not only the story of the main character taking place, but also Katriina’s brother, father, some friends, and hired help. These stories all interconnect exquisitely, moving the story along and capturing the heart of readers. Readers will not only enjoy this story once, but will want to read it again and again. I would recommend this novel to readers that enjoy Amish fiction, as well as Suzanne’s other novels.
