About the BookStrong-willed Tirzah wants to join her people in driving the enemy from the land of Israel and undergoes training for a secret mission inside the stronghold of Shechem. But soon after she has infiltrated the ruthless Aramean commander's kitchen, she makes a reckless decision that puts her and her allies in grave danger. Fresh off the battlefield, Liyam returns home to discover his beloved daughter is dead. After his vow to hunt down her killer leads to months of fruitless pursuit, his last hope is in a family connection that comes with strings attached. Strings that force him to pose as a mercenary and rescue an infuriating woman who refuses to leave her mission uncompleted. When an opportunity to pave a path to a Hebrew victory arises, can Tirzah convince Liyam to fight alongside her in the refuge city of her birth? Or will Liyam's thirst for vengeance outweigh his duty to his people, his God, and the woman he's come to love? About the AuthorWhen she is not homeschooling her two sweet kids (with a full pot of coffee at hand), CONNILYN COSSETTE is scribbling notes on spare paper, mumbling about her imaginary friends, and reading obscure, out-of-print history books. There is nothing she likes better than digging into the rich, ancient world of the Bible and uncovering buried gems of grace that point toward Jesus. Although a Pacific Northwest native, she now lives near Dallas, Texas. Counted with the Stars is her first novel. ReviewAuthor Connilyn Cossette writes some of the very best biblical fiction and this story of Tirzah in Like Flames in the Night is no different, as it satisfyingly brings this wonderful series to an end. The story is of a strong and beautiful woman who is determined to help her people and a man, Liyam, who vows to avenge the death of his daughter and how this comes to consume his life and the journey they end up on together. Cossette brilliantly weaves together a story with characters that readers will not soon forget as it all comes to life from the pages. This is a thrilling, inspiring, and powerful story of a daring mission and the Promise Land that will touch the hearts of readers long after the last word has been read.

About the AuthorJody Hedlund is an award-winning and bestselling author of inspirational historical romances for both youth and adults. As a busy mama-writer, she has the wonderful privilege of teaching her crew of 5 children at home. In between grading math papers and giving spelling tests, she occasionally does a load of laundry and washes dishes. When she's not busy being a mama, you can find her in front of her laptop working on another of her page-turning stories. She loves reading almost as much as she loves writing, especially when it also involves chocolate and coffee. ReviewIn her novel The Runaway Bride, author Jody Hedlund brings to life with historical accuracy the life of a woman who escapes to British Columbia on a bride ship to start a new life for herself. It’s about the struggles that come with this new life and the judgements of the society people around her. It’s about overcoming scars from the past and deciding which of the two men that are trying to woo her is the one she should give her heart to. This is a story where readers will immediately feel like they are right there in the story as the lives of the characters come to life from the pages. This is a deep, heart-felt, and inspiring story about the hardships of life and of finding true love.

Raised to fear the world, Ilsa and her sisters never planned on coming down, but when the Warden family arrived in need, they had to help. And it may cost them everything. Having made his fortune, Mitch Warden returned home and found the family homestead abandoned. In a land grab, a ruthless cattle baron had forced his family to escape up the mountain, and when he follows, the last thing he expects is to fall smitten to a black-haired woman who dresses like Robin Hood. Warden is intent on helping his family reclaim their land, but doesn't realize the risks his past has brought. Dangerous men have tracked him, and rather than risk innocent lives, he's determined to end the danger. But that means a journey to the city--and when Ilsa insists on joining him, the mismatched pair suddenly find themselves on a venture they'll never forget. About the Author Mary Connealy writes "romantic comedies with cowboys" and is celebrated for her fun, zany, action-packed style. She has more than half a million books in print. She is the author of the popular series Wild at Heart, Kincaid Brides, Trouble in Texas, Lassoed in Texas, Sophie's Daughters, and many other books. Mary lives on a ranch in eastern Nebraska with her very own romantic cowboy hero. ReviewThis book continues the story of the same three sisters and family that removed themselves from society to protect themselves from bad people, situations, and disease, but this story focuses on the next sister, Ilsa and another Warden brother, Mitch. This is the story of their sudden marriage and the adventures they are on together to find a murderer. The story is confusing in a few places as it randomly switches to the point of view of some of the side characters a bit too frequently, when the story should be focused on Ilsa and Mitch. But overall this is an entertaining and enjoyable Colorado western from author Mary Connealy.

She has the archery skills of Robin Hood and the curiosity of the Little Mermaid, fascinated by but locked away from the forbidden outside world--a world she's been raised to believe killed her parents. When David Warden, a rancher, brings in a herd much too close to the girls' secret home, her older sister especially is frightened, but Jo is too interested to stay away. David's parents follow soon on his heels, escaping bandits at their ranch. David's father is wounded and needs shelter. Josephine and her sisters have the only cabin on the mountain. Do they risk stepping into the world to help those in need? Or do they remain separated but safe in the peaks of Hope Mountain? This first story focuses on the first sister, Josephine, or Jo as she likes to be called, and rancher Dave Warden. It’s about their families learning to help one another and exist together on the same mountain by offering shelter or necessary skills when different situations are thrown at them. A broken man. A fiery young woman. Neither one's heart will come away unscathed.
Juliet Graham fervently counts the days until her twenty-first birthday, when she can claim the inheritance that will grant her the freedom she has always craved and the guardianship of her younger brother. Until then, she is trapped under her aunt Agnes’s domineering will. When forced to accompany the family to a house party at Shaldorn Castle, Juliet’s only objective is to keep to herself. That is, until a chance encounter with a boorish stranger stirs up an unexpected whirlwind of emotions in her. Thrown off-balance, Juliet does the unthinkable: loses her temper and insults the man—who turns out to be her unwilling host, the Duke of Halstead. Fully expecting to be sent away, Juliet is surprised when the brusque and callous duke instead takes an interest in her. Drawn to the duke in unguarded moments, Juliet finds herself more and more intrigued by the man who shuns Society’s rules as completely as she does, and over the next few weeks, their unlikely friendship deepens into a connection neither expected. But even as Juliet comes to recognize her true feelings, her scheming aunt issues an ultimatum that threatens the future she was just beginning to hope for. Juliet must choose: either break the promise she made to herself years ago, or lose the man who has captured her heart and soul. About the Author

Review
Anneka R. Walker has written a charming and sweet Beauty and the Beast meets masked highway man story that readers will delight in. It’s filled with a fun twist on the Beauty and the Beast fairytale woven through the story, along a bit of mystery and danger, making the story engaging and enticing. Throughout the story, readers will enjoy watching the ebb and flow as the relationship between Ellis and Andalin blooms. Although Andalin is a bit whiny in the first part of the story, she does get better as it goes along. Especially as she comes to better understand Ellis. The story could have used more development, but overall was a cute and memorable read. Readers will be watching for more from this enjoyable author.
