About the BookDuring pregnancy, mothers are breathtakingly close to the veil, and childbirth is a sacred moment in every mother's life. This tender book celebrates the divine calling of motherhood and prepares mothers for the moment when their child enters the world. Backed by scriptures, quotes from General Authorities, and reputable medical sources, mothers can feel confident in their own personal choices for childbirth and prepared to welcome their baby into this life. About the AuthorMarie Ange Bigelow, MT, CD(DONA) graduated magna cum laude from Utah State University with a degree in Music Therapy. After becoming a board-certified music therapist, Marie spent two years specializing in Music Therapy Assisted Childbirth. She has been a certified birth-doula and childbirth educator since 2004, and has supported hundreds of births in hospitals, birth centers, and homes. Marie learned early on that she had a passion and gift for public speaking when she was named Idaho’s Junior Miss in 1999, and spent a year traveling the state giving motivational presentations. She continues to enjoy the opportunity to educate others while connecting with them on a personal level through her Music Birth childbirth education classes, and consistently receives positive reviews and high praise from her students. As a pioneer in her field in Boise, Idaho, Marie founded Treasure Valley Doulas where she served as director of the group for seven years. Along with her own child-birth centered blog, Marie’s work has been featured in International Doula and popular websites such as SheKnows.com. It has wonderful insights for women and the sacred and marvelous experience of childbirth. Coming from and LDS perspective, Marie Bigelow shares and provides an inspiring message, both from her own experience and from the messages of our prophets. This book is a wonderful tool for not only the pregnant or potentially pregnant woman, but her husband as well. I would recommend this to any woman that is pregnant or looking forward to the future of becoming pregnant some day.
