ReviewAuthor Melinda Sue Sanchez shares a heart-wrenching WWII story, including a unique point of view of the Italians, drawing readers into her tale. The first part of the story reads much like women’s fiction, but as the story develops, the romance does as well. This story is about two “enemies,” Franca and Peter, that because of the war meet and develop a relationship, which they fight to some degree, especially Franca. But eventually Franca let’s Peter break down her defenses and they fall in love, regardless to the fact that he is a German Nazi. Sanchez has crafted a beautiful and stunning adventure filled romance story that readers will delight in.
