Mercedes Grant is known to the world as Stormy Ryan, action hero. He knows she can handle crazy fans, but the news he has to give is another story. As Mercedes struggles to come to terms with her new future, she relies on Luke’s support. But neither imagines the disease is not the only danger Mercedes is facing—because just out of view, someone is watching her and is determined to make good on their threat.

About the Author
The glitz and glamour of Hollywood has always been a fascinating subject for Kathi Oram Peterson. Her love of films and the people who star in them is what led to her writing this novel. She’s followed many actors’ careers and has read of their heartaches and joys. The idea of writing a story about a sick Hollywood star who finds herself in a rural setting, needing the help of a kind and caring country doctor, was intriguing. Shen then created a villain who would stalk the starlet, and that was the perfect combination for her new romantic suspense, because even though Kathi loves a good movie, writing a great novel readers will love is the absolute best experience.
After her children finish school, Kathi earned her English degree at the University of Utah. She worked for several years, writing and editing children’s books for a curriculum publisher. Upon leaving the workforce, she turned her attention to writing novels. She currently resides in Salt Lake City. Review

Doctor and friend Luke Parker comes to her rescue over and over again through this trying time. But will Mercedes survive the death threat and overcome her leukemia and get a chance at love with Luke? Filled with fun characters and a plot that will leave readers guessing, I would recommend this novel of fans of LDS suspense novels.
