 Summary
Christopher Thatcher has always dreamed of going to America.  After seeing that his sisters, Grace and Helen, are happily situated with their new husbands, he boards the Amanda May on a voyage to America.  Christopher has avoided women for the most part, that is until he meets Marsali Abbot, another passenger aboard the Amanda May.  Once Marsali arrives in America though, she is indentured to an evil man in Virginia.  Marsali has a letter from her sister explaining about this man, but she does not read the letter until it is too late.  Now she is doomed to servitude to this man with no escape.  Throughout the voyage, Christopher and Marsali become better acquainted. Christopher even comes up with the idea and goes so far as to propose to Marsali in order to protect her and help her work off her debt from the voyage.  Tragedy strikes when the ship they are on catches fire.  Separated, Christopher and Marsali each think the other is dead.  Will they find each other, or will it be too late as Marsali becomes engaged to another man?

Author Information
Michele Paige Holmes spent her childhood and youth in Arizona and northern California, often curled up with a good book instead of out enjoying the sunshine.  She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in elementary education and found it an excellent major with which to indulge her love of children’s literature

Her first novel, Counting Stars, won the 2007 Whitney Award for Best Romance.  Its companion novel, a romantic suspense titled All the Stars in Heaven, was a Whitney Award finalist, as was her first historical romance, Captive Heart.  My Lucky Stars completed the Stars series.

In 2014 Michele launched the Hearthfire Historical Romance line, with the debut title, Saving Grace. Loving Helen is the companion novel, with a third, Marrying Christopher released in July 2015.

When not reading or writing romance, Michele is busy with her full-time job as a wife and mother.  She and her husband life in Utah with their five high-maintenance children, and a Shitzu that resembles a teddy bear, in a house with a wonderful view of the mountains.

Author Interview with Michele Paige Holmes

Review
Author Michelle Paige Holmes has written a charming regency romance story in her latest novel, Marrying Christopher.  This novel is the third instalment of the Hearthfire Romance series and is full of fun, adventure, and romance.  The story brings together two unlikely people who form a relationship over a four week time period during their voyage to America.  The main characters in this novel, Christopher and Marsali, are well created as they are brought to life and enhance the storyline.  I would recommend this novel to all lovers of regency romance fiction.
