Summary While Carrie and the rest of Logan Pond Clan are trying to survive, a rebellion is forming against their president. Meanwhile, Patrolman Owen Simmons has been assigned two new patrol partners. This makes protecting Carrie and the Logan Pond Clan even more difficult than ever before. To make matters worse, Greg is issued an order from the government to go in for patrolman training. Greg goes in order to protect his family. But after training and a mission with his partner goes terribly wrong and they almost get killed, his partner agrees to tell their commander that he is dead. Now Greg has to race home to Logan Pond before the message of his death reaches them first, barely making it before the message. Upon Greg’s return he learns of his ill mother’s passing, as well as that Carrie has taken his advice and given Owen a chance. As Greg and Carrie are trying to make sense of the feelings they still have for each other, Carrie and several other members of the clan become deathly ill. Will Owen help Greg and the clan find a way to get Carrie and some of the others the doctor and will she live long enough to realize her blossoming relationship with Greg? Author Interview with Rebecca BellistonReview The second novel in the Citizens of Logan Pond series, Liberty, continues the story of the Logan Pond Clan. It is filled with adventure and romance as a rebellion against the president of the country arises and citizens and squatters alike must pick a side to be on. This page turning, action packed novel will keep readers wanting to know what will happen next, especially with a cliff-hanger ending. I would recommend this novel to readers of futuristic/dystopian novels that also enjoy adventure and romance along the way.
