Summary Several months after the death of his wife, Michael Hunter has still not completely come to terms with everything. After spending too many hours in a day at the office for the past few months, he decides he needs to take a break. He decides to visit Hope Harbor, a place his wife loved as a child that they were supposed visit on vacation, but it got canceled not long before she passed away. Here Michael hopes to find faith and healing. Tracy Campbell, is young and a recent widow. Her life revolves around working on and saving her family’s cranberry farm from going under, like so many other farms of its type. To keep finances afloat, Tracy has the help of her uncle. They both work the farm and have outside part time jobs. To add another burden to her load, Tracy is a board member for the local Helping Hands group, which recently has become an overwhelming position. Several decades ago widow Anna Williams got in a huge fight with her son, John. They have not spoken or been in contact since. Anna pulled away from her friends in Hope Harbor and became a secluded old woman. When a man that looks like her son, Michael, comes to town, Anna decides to allow him to stay at her house in the annex when his original lodging location falls through. While in Hope Harbor, Michael becomes involved in the community and in the lives of Tracy and Anna. Will a stubborn old woman find a way to reach out to her son? Will Tracy be able to save her cranberry farm, while assisting Helping Hands become a better organization? Will Michael come to terms with the loss of his wife and let a little romance into his life?
