First Line Fridays - The Spice King
9/12/2019
Today I'm posting a line from The Spice King by Elizabeth Camden. This is book one in The Hope and Glory series. My First Line: May 1900 Washington, DC Annabell Larking didn't mean to offend the world's leading spice tycoon with her bold request, yet it seemed she had. What are you reading? What is your first line?
Open the book nearest you and post the first line in the comments below... Then head on over to Hoarding Books and link up! And then hop around the linky to visit other blog stops.

On my blog today, I am featuring a nonfiction, Leveling the Praying Field by Donna L. Barrett. Since it's my current read, I will share the first line in Chapter 4 here: When circumstances turn out the way a person asked in prayer, they'll often say, "Prayer works." Think of prayer as a telephone, a communication device. What really matters is who is on the other end of the line.
