My First Line:

Baltimore, Maryland, 1867

"Come on boy.  Your dad needs you."

Daniel looked up from his exam in disbelief, certain his father would never pull him out of this test.

Have a good weekend! My first line is from “Somewhere Beyond the Blue: Fun sixty-something romances” – the first one is “A TIME TO PUSH DAISIES” by Marion Ueckermann:

“Caleb Blume shuffled outside onto the wooden deck of his posh Camps Bay apartment, feeling three decades older than his sixty-two years.”

I loved this book!

Happy Friday!
Today on my blog I am sharing the first line from Sandra Byrd’s novel Lady of a Thousand Treasures. I’m LOVING this book. Currently, I am on chapter 10, so I will share the first line from that chapter.

“I had no faith at all in the doctor who had been tending my uncle.”

Hope you have a great day and a wonderful weekend! 🙂❤️📚

Happy Friday! On my blog this week I shared Uninvited by Lysa TerKeurst but I'm also currently reading Emerald Illusion by Jennifer Rodewald. I'm on chapter 12 so I'll share the first line from there: "Clouds began to cloak the few stars that were determined to see light into the dreary hill country." Hope you have a great weekend with plenty of reading!

It’s the little signs that end up meaning something.

I concurr with Nicole! Loved that book!

Mine is from Eternity Between Us by Stephenia McGee
This from Chapter three:

The sound intensified, a keening wail that knifed through her very bones and caused them to quiver.

Great Civil War novel!
