4/27/2018
Today I'm posting a line from Road to Rosewood by Ashtyn Newbold My First Line: Dover, England Summer 1811 "Thought you would be better at piquet," I said, raising my eyes above a perfectly fanned hand of cards. What are you reading? What is your first line?
Open the book nearest you and post the first line in the comments below... Then head on over to Hoarding Books and link up! And then hop around the linky to visit other blog stops.

The book I'm sharing on my blog is Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate, but the book I'll share here is the one I am currently reading called Chateau of Secrets by Melanie Dobson: "Candlelight flickered on the medieval walls as Gisele Duchant stepped into the warmth of the nave." Hope you have a great weekend! :)

What a beautiful cover! And Regency ... one of my favourite historical periods. Thanks for the heads-up!
