First Line Fridays -- Longing for Home
via Hoarding Books
Today I am going to post a line from
book one in the Hope Springs Series,
Longing for Home
by Sarah M. Eden
The books in the Hope Springs Series:
This series is about an Irish Family that have
immigrated to the United States.
My First Line:
Wyoming Territory, 1870
Eighteen years had passed since Katie Macauley killed her sister.
What are you reading? What is your first line?
Open the book nearest you and post the first line in the comments below...
Then head on over to Hoarding Books and link up!
And then hop around the linky.
I've only read a couple of Sara M. Eden's books but really enjoyed them. Maybe I'll get to these others someday (when my TBR isn't so out of control. A girl can dream, right?).

I love the cover--I used to play the violin. :) Wow...what an opening statement! Happy Friday!

Happy Friday! My first line is from At Home with Daffodils by Paula Moldenhauer:
Though I’m sharing a book with an Irish hero, The Promise of Breeze Hill by Pam Hillman, on my blog today, here’s the first line of an audiobook I’ve borrowed from the library on a friend’s recommendation, The Bookshop on the Corner (or, in the UK, The Little Shop of Happily Ever After) by Jenny Colgan:

That is a GREAT 1st Line
I don't think I've read anything by Sara Eden, but I love those covers, and that's the kind of first line that makes me want to keep reading.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Jesse.” Justin Cade raised a beer to his reflection then gulped half of the microbrew.
