Happy Friday and welcome to First Line Fridays! Today I'm posting a line from Fall Flip by Denise Weimer. First Line: The moment Scott Matthews strolled into the overgrown backyard of the Wentworth bungalow, life changed. What are you reading? What is your first line?

That looks like a good book! I'm currently on chapter two of More Than a Pretty Face which is Karen Witemeyer's novella included in Serving Up Love so I'll share the first line of that chapter here. "Rosalind Kemp approached the new Santa Fe Depot from the west, making use of the exterior door that led directly into the kitchen."

I haven't heard of this book, but it looks interesting! Today I'm sharing the first line from Forged Through Fire: A Reconstructive Surgeon's Story of Survival, Faith, and Healing by Mark D. McDonough, MD: "I woke perspiring as an intense wall of heat rolled across the room."
