After about a week or so of seeing books arriving for other bloggers on the team, mine finally came!  So to celebrate I am sharing my first line today from Melissa Jagear's upcoming release, A Heart Most Certain, book one in the Teaville Moral Society Series.  I have greatly been anticipating this read and cannot wait to get started!

Oh yes! I have seen this one around. I just checked on Goodreads though and for some reason I had not added it to my TBR list. Oooops. Thanks for sharing, Caryl! :)

YAY! I can't wait to read this one. It's sitting here taunting me ;)

Mine is from Susan Sleeman's book Silent Sabotage - "The scream was high and sharp, and Emily felt her aunt Birdie's pain to her core."

Ooooo. That sounds like a spine tingling one! Haha. :)

"Death hovered in the shadows of the room, a shapeless presence as familiar to Ashleigh Dougall as the scent of morphine." The Thornbearer by Pepper Basham.
That is the first line of the Prologue.
The first line of Chapter 1 is equally great: "There is a distinct difference between marrying a man you do not love, and falling in love with a man you cannot marry."

Oh yes! Such a good one!! :D Hope you are enjoying it, Becky!! :D Do you have the other books in this series in your TBR pile?

Yes, I have the other book The Thornkeeper and her book A Twist of Faith on my list and can't wait to get to them! I still have 3 other books that I've read that are waiting for me to review them on Amazon & Goodreads. My son picked up my kindle and saw that I have 1,160 books, of which 574 books are downloaded. Guess I will have to move more of them to my cloud! PLUS I have a stack of 12 print books by my bed.

Oh wow! This sounds like another intense one. Although, when I looked it up, the cover was quite adorable. Doesn't quite match up with my first impression from the first line. Haha. Hope it is a good one! :D

Hehehehe, watching everyone have book fun without you is no fun!
New to me author who contacted me for a review knocked my socks off this week!
Tensaw Settlements, present-day Alabama
Blackberry Moon (June) 1813
From inside the cool, shadowy wood, Totka Lawe squinted into a bright meadow.
From Beneath the Blackberry Moon: The Red Feather by April Gardner. Lori Benton/Laura Frantz quality! I can't wait to read the next book!

Can't wait to read "A Heart Most Certain". My first line is: "Come on. Do the right thing - again," Savannah Webb muttered.

That is an intriguing first line. :) What novel is this from?
