7/1/2016
It is Friday and I am joining Carrie from Reading is My SuperPower, Rachel from Bookworm Mama, and Beth from Faithfully Bookish in First Line Fridays. If you would like to join us, send Carrie a meassage and let her know! Grab the book nearest to you and leave a comment with the first line! Today's first line is coming from The Last Messenger of Zitol by Chelsea Dyring. This book will release in September 2016 from Sweetwater Books, an imprint of Cedar Fort. I had the unique experience of recently reading and endorsing this amazing and thrilling novel! "Before we begin, I want you to understand that I am not a good person." What are you reading? What is your first line?
Opent the book nearest you and post the first line...

I am happy to return to cyber space & first line Fridays! :-) My mom and her husband were visiting from New Zealand for the month of June, plus my son graduated on the 13th so I did a self-imposed sabbatical to spend as much time with family as possible :-) I’m refreshed and ready to rock & roll (though I still miss them terribly!).

When he emerges from the bathroom she is awake, propped up against the pillows and flicking through the travel brochures that were besides his bed.
That is a striking cover - but I'm most intrigued by the mismatched eyes.
