Grab the book nearest to you and leave a comment with the first line! Today I am going to post a line from True to You by Becky Wade This is book one in Becky Wade's new series, Bradford Sisters Romance. I am thrilled because the series title mentions "sisters," likely meaning each of the books in this series will be about a different sister. I cannot wait to see what Wade does with this series!! Exciting Start of a Brand-New Series by a Contemporary Romance Fan Favorite After a devastating heartbreak three years ago, genealogist and historical village owner Nora Bradford has decided that burying her nose in her work and her books is far safer than romance in the here and now. Unlike Nora, former Navy SEAL and Medal of Honor recipient John Lawson is a modern-day man, usually 100 percent focused on the present. But when he's diagnosed with an inherited condition, he's forced to dig into the secrets of his past and his adoption as an infant, enlisting Nora to help him uncover the identity of his birth mother. The more time they spend together, the more this pair of opposites suspects they just might be a perfect match. However, John's already dating someone and Nora's not sure she's ready to trade her crushes on fictional heroes for the risks of a real relationship. Finding the answers they're seeking will test the limits of their identity, their faith, and their devotion to one another. My first line: Finding oneself at the mercy of a crazed gunman isn't all fun and games. What are you reading? What is your first line?

I love that first line. And the book is a great read!
On my blog today I'm sharing a line from Pepper Basham's book The Thorn Healer. I wanted to share something different in the comment, so I'm choosing a book that my son is currently reading.
True to You is a great book! Enjoy!

Oh my goodness, I loved this book!! I mentioned on my review that I started talking about the characters like they were my family. Did you read the novella prequal? Loved that too!! Can't wait for the next installment....

I loved True To You, and all of Becky's books! 5/19/2017 09:42:10 am
Haven't read that author yet. I'm currently in the middle of WAY too many books (like six...) but the one I'm trying to focus on is "Rags to Riches" novella collection. 5/19/2017 10:03:43 am
My first line is from TURTLES IN THE ROAD, a humorous romance from mother/daughter duo Rhonda Rhea and Kaley Rhea. The book arrived yesterday, and I didn't get to crack it open until 1:00 AM...but I just HAD to start it before bed! The first chapter is hilarious...and Piper is my new BF! -- "Normally a nice long solo drive had a calming effect on Piper."
Loved that book! :) 5/20/2017 04:59:22 am
