Today I am going to post a line from

Restoring Love
by Jennifer Slattery

Last year at the first Christian Fiction Readers Retreat (CFRR) in Nashville Tennessee, I had the amazing experience of meeting Jennifer.  Can I just say WOW!  She is super sweet and fun!
And her books are great.  So don't miss out on reading them!!
Add them to your GOODREADS TBR pile.

Restoring Love, a contemporary novel, offers readers a beautiful picture of God's restoring love. Mitch, a restoration-contractor, and Angela, a wacky neighborhood transplant, find they are both compassionately drawn to helping an abandoned young neighborhood mom. But will their regrets hold them back or unite them and bring redemption?

Haven't picked up a new book yet, but just finished Stephanie Morrill's new book, The Lost Girl of Astor Street. First line is:
If he doesn't know it already, Jeremiah Crane is about to learn that I'm not the type of girl to be pushed around.

Hi, Sydney!

I've never had one of my stories highlighted for First Line Fridays before! I'm thrilled and honored! Eeek! :)

I shared mine on FB, but ... it doesn't do the story justice, unfortunately. It's actually from a book I nearly put down, as the opening simply didn't grab me. But the title and cover did, enough that I determined to push through, and I'm so glad I did! I'm 253 pages in and am loving it! It's "The Last Train to Istanbul" and it's about the Holocaust and all Turkey did to try to save the Jews.

Lyndsey, that's a great opening line!
