Summary
Miriam watches as her young brother floats down the Nile River in a basket to be discovered by a daughter of Pharaoh.  As Miriam grows up she keeps a watchful eye on her brother, often getting herself into trouble.  Even going so far as to go near Egyptian activities to catch a glimpse of him.  This eventually brings about the capture of the man she loves, Caleb.  He is accused for a crime he did not do, stealing from the Royals treasury.  Intent on finding Caleb, Miriam accidentally runs into Moses, who seems kinder than the other Egyptians.  Moses says he will do what he can to help Caleb.  Caleb is eventually released, but in order to live he must find the man who stole from the treasury or face death.  Will they be able to discover who the thief is before it is too late?  Will Miriam be able to wed Caleb at last or will he suffer a devastating death?  Will Moses get into trouble after noticing he is different than the other Egyptians?

Review
This first novel in The Moses Chronicles is both enjoyable and enlightening as it brings to life the biblical story of Moses, as well as his sister, Miriam.  The story switches point of view between several of the characters, giving the novel a fun twist.  These characters’ challenges are easy for readers to relate to his/her own life.  I would recommend this novel to readers that enjoy biblical fiction novels written in various character perspectives.

Hi, Tressa. Thanks for stopping by my site. Yes. This is Heather's first biblical fiction that I have read and I liked it very much. You should give it a try or one of her other novels and let me know what you think. :)
