Review
Award winning author Annette Lyon has written over a dozen novels, including this well-loved novella in this collection, including six wonderful crafted stories—three contemporary fiction and three historical fiction.  Each story is its own with enjoyable plots and pleasurable characters.  In her contemporary novellas, Annette takes us from Yellowstone, to Las Vegas, to New York, experiencing these different places, while in her historical novels she gives us a taste of Finland and the Winter War of 1939; Provo, Utah in 1926; and a taste of the Overland Route Rail Line (Union Pacific Railroad) in 1913.  Each location is different, but has a story of its’ own.  I tend to lean more towards historical fiction stories, but Annette has created contemporary and historical tales that I would recommend to readers of all types.
