About the Book
Governess Juliana Ashbourne has dreams reaching far beyond the confines of her current position, hoping to someday establish her own school for girls. When she inherits a fortune from her late grandfather, she is shocked to learn that “someday” may soon be within reach. However, there is one condition: she must spend a month at the estate of Havenfield—with the very family who disowned her mother. Intent on securing the money she needs to start her school, Juliana accepts the invitation, vowing to guard her heart against those who shunned her all her life. But Havenfield is far from what she expects. She discovers a grandmother seeking forgiveness, a cold and disapproving aunt, and a painfully shy cousin. And then there is Mr. William Rowley. Though the heir to the estate is a merciless tease, Juliana finds in him a friend and confidant—and perhaps something more. As she struggles to make sense of her new place in the world, her stubborn independence clashes with a yearning to belong and the even more confusing desires of her heart.

Welcome to the Blog Tour & Giveaway for Return of the Song by Phyllis Clark Nichols, hosted by JustRead Publicity Tours! About the BookTitle: Return of the Song Series: The Rockwater Suite #1 Author: Phyllis Clark Nichols Publisher: Gilead Publishing Release Date: September 18, 2018 Genre: Contemporary Women’s Fiction When Caroline lost her love, she lost the music too. Caroline Carlyle's dreams were crushed when her fiancé died six weeks before their wedding. For years she wrestled with aching loss and shattered faith, struggling to find the inspiration that once came so easily. Abandoning her half-finished piano compositions, Caroline trades her old ambitions for the comfort and familiarity of life as the town’s piano teacher. But Caroline's world turns upside down when a mysterious stranger enters her life. Filled with courage and fresh purpose, Caroline embarks on a quest to track down the beloved, rare piano she played as a child. Her search leads her to Rockwater, the Kentucky estate of a wealthy gentleman, where Caroline finds her heart may be composing a surprising new song. About the AuthorPhyllis Clark Nichols’s character-driven Southern fiction explores profound human questions using the imagined residents of small town communities you just know you’ve visited before. With a strong faith and a love for nature, art, music, and ordinary people, she tells redemptive tales of loss and recovery, estrangement and connection, longing and fulfillment . . . often through surprisingly serendipitous events. Phyllis grew up in the deep shade of magnolia trees in South Georgia. Born during a hurricane, she is no stranger to the winds of change: In addition to her life as a novelist, Phyllis is a seminary graduate, concert pianist, and cofounder of a national cable network with health- and disability-related programming. Regardless of the role she’s playing, Phyllis brings creativity and compelling storytelling. She frequently appears at conventions, conferences, civic groups, and churches, performing half-hour musical monologues that express her faith, joy, and thoughts about life—all with the homespun humor and gentility of a true Southern woman. Phyllis currently serves on several nonprofit boards. She lives in the Texas Hill Country with her portrait-artist husband. ReviewReturn of the Song by Phyllis Clark Nichols is a beautiful and inspiring story. This story is about love, loss, devastation, faith, and the lack thereof. It’s about trying to move on when your heart and soul are still broken. Nichols has written a story that dives deep into the emotions of its readers, as they too become invested in the journey of a woman’s aching heart as she strives to pick up the pieces of her shattered life and strives to cope and move forward. It’s about overcoming an excruciating hardship and maybe just maybe bringing music back into her life and also once again finding love. This inspiring story is one that will move and touch the heart of readers throughout the entire story. Connect with her online at BeccaWhitham.com. Guest Post from Gina & BeccaDear Reader, What’s better than fulfilling a dream? Why…taking the journey with a friend, of course. And we have the army to thank for it. Gina, whose father spent most of his army career at Fort Sill, had just moved back to Lawton, Oklahoma when Becca’s husband received orders to Sill. We were both looking for friendship and found a kindred spirit. When we first conceived the Montana Brides series over Frappuccinos (Gina) and Chai Tea Lattes (Becca) at our local Starbucks, we set out to make our make our mail-order bride stories different. The first thing we decided on was setting our series in Helena, Montana because, in 1888, the city boasted the most millionaires per capita in the United States. We liked the idea of a former mining town grown into a cultured city and that it wasn’t the usual isolated ranch setting for a Western. We also wanted to create stories of mail-order bride romances gone wrong. In fact, our original series title was Mail (Dis) Order Brides. We brainstormed all the ways a mail-order bride story could go sideways and settled on our top three: a widow before a wife; two brothers, one bride; and a deceitful—though well-meaning—matchmaker. The Kitchen Marriage is the second book in this series and puts our heroine, Zoe de Fleur, between twin brothers, Isaak and Jakob Gunderson. Like our first bride, Emilia Stanek (The Promise Bride), Zoe shows up in town knowing no one. Does that sound familiar? As a former military kid and current military wife, we are very familiar with needing to start over, forge new friendships, and make strangers into family. Thank you for taking a journey into the past with us. We pray you find our stories filled with hope, humor, and happily-ever-afters. Sincerely, Gina Welborn and Becca Whitham ReviewAuthors Gina Welborn and Becca Whitham have come together and written an enjoyable historical mail-order bride romance in The Kitchen Marriage, book two in the Montana Brides series. Although the pacing of the book is a bit slow, the story is still fun and enjoyable. It introduces readers to the prejudices of true mail-order brides vs. those that are acting fraudulently, as well as to the idea of making a life for oneself and finding true love. Welborn and Whitham’s novel is one that readers that enjoy mail-order bride romance stories will appreciate. She’s firmly convinced that letters were meant for words, not math, and loves stringing them together into stories that inspire and encourage. Romance, laughter, and cookies are three of her favorite things, though not always in that order. Connect with Susan at http://www.susanltuttle.com. Guest PostSo my writing jouney is a long one! I actually won my first writing contest at six years old. We had a yearly contest at my elementary school called Young Authors which I won in both first and sixth grades. Those books also had to be illustrated, and let’s just say I’m glad they didn’t judge based on my drawings! My creativity is with words, not graphic artJ Anyway … I wrote all through my school years but never thought I’d do anything with it. Honestly, I had no clue about how to become an author and thought it so unattainable, I didn’t chase that dream. I did, however, devour books as a reader. Anything and everything I could get my hands on, some of which I should never have touched! When God called me out on some of the content I was reading, I complained to him that there were no Christian books out there I enjoyed reading. To which he replied, “Then write one.” And so my writing journey toward publication began. (Sidenote…there are TONS of amazing Christian fiction out there these days that I LOVE to read.) The problem? I loved romance, but at nineteen I didn’t have enough experience to authentically write it! But just because God gives us a dream to chase doesn’t mean we’re ready to grasp it. I had to grow in my walk with him and just life in general. It wasn’t until I was in my thirties that I picked up the threads of this dream and began chasing it strongly. I started a blog, found American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW), and began to seriously learn about the craft of writing. And I wrote. Non-stop. I finished book after book, growing as I did. I developed a thick skin that for the most part remains thickJ I read craft books, submitted my work to critique partners, revised it, wrote some more, and submitted some more. It took me two years to sign an agent. It took me another nearly five after that to sign my first contract—which was for At First GlanceJ I’d say what I learned was to never give up. If God has placed a dream in your heart, go after it. This seed started way back in my childhood. I didn’t dare chase it at that age. As a teen, I wasn’t ready. And as a young mom, I didn’t think I had the time to go after it. Even when I settled in my heart that I was going to finally try, I had several rejections and set-backs. It’s all part of the process, and each moment prepared me for where I am today. It was a long journey, but looking back I wouldn’t change a single portion of it. As jewelry designer for one of the most prestigious jewelers in the world, she completed a particularly stunning piece, a custom setting for a large pink diamond. Mrs. Katsaros has no desire to bring media attention to the jewelry heist, so she recruits her nephew, Quinn, and his FBI agent friend, Steve, to do some sleuthing off the record. When they discover that the missing ring is just one of many forgeries in the widow's collection, they look to Gracie for help. They need her to act the part of Quinn's fiancée. From the lights of New York to the shimmering islands of the Mediterranean, Gracie is swept into a thrilling hunt. But amid the search for the elusive thief, she and Quinn find themselves increasingly distracted by their growing feelings for each other. About the BookBook: Christmas Love Year Round Author: Elaine Stock Genre: Christian romance, sweet romance Release Date: September 25, 2018 Cami Richardson is good at chasing away the men in her life: first Gavin Kinkaid, a former classmate she’d helped to bully, and later, her husband who left her widowed and a single mom. Gavin wants to settle down after serving in the Air Force and mend the separation between him and his dad. What he didn’t count on is his changing feelings when he sees Cami as a kind woman instead of his former adversary. When Cami’s son blindsides them both during the Christmas season, is their reunion at risk or will it grow stronger? About the AuthorElaine Stock is the author of the novels Her Good Girl, winner of the 2018 American Fiction Awards in the Christian Inspirational category, and Always With You, which won the 2017 Christian Small Publishers Association Book of the Year Award in fiction. And You Came Along, a novella, released in December 2017. Her novels fuse romance, family drama and faith in a clean fiction style. She is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers, Romance Writers of America, and Women’s Fiction Writers Association. In addition to Twitter, Facebook, and Goodreads, she hangs out on her active blog, Everyone’s Story, dedicated to uplifting and encouraging all readers through the power of story and hope. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Elaine has now been living in upstate, rural New York with her husband for more years than her stint as a NYC gal. She enjoys long walks down country roads, visiting New England towns, and of course, a good book. Guest Post from ElaineTo love someone with all of your heart is the only thing that matters in this world. Readers often ask the origin of a story idea. When I wrote my first published novel, Always With You, I was asked if my husband was a white supremacist. No! When Her Good Girl released, the questions of whether my mother practiced Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy popped up as well. Although my mother unfortunately did suffer another mental illness, it wasn’t MSP. And now Christmas Love Year Round, Book 1 of the Kindred Lake romance series, is on sale. What does fuel my writing? What is a connecting theme between the stories I write? Love. Love is the most essential relationship we must share between all…between family members, friends, neighbors…between strangers, enemies, those who live differently than us, and foreign countries. A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. John 13:34-35 (NIV) Yet, isn’t honest love the hardest thing to do? Perhaps it is also the most difficult virtue to teach and the most vexing passion to express. Imagine this scenario: You’re a widowed mom with an impressionable eight-year-old son. Your conscience is riddled with the worry that you might have pushed your husband toward his death, and that’s on top of the weight bearing down on you from your childhood days of participating with others to bully a particular family in town. Then, the one boy who was part of that picked-upon family, now a grown man and stirringly handsome purchases the house across the street from you. You’ll likely see him every day. And, with a gulp, you realize…that you want to see him. That actually, despite all that transpired between the two of you back in high school, you’re Attracted to him with a Capital A. Might that magnetism between the two of you be mutual? This is the set-up between Cami and Gavin in Christmas Love Year Round. Will these two former adversaries forgive not only each other but themselves as well and take loving one’s neighbor to the next step of falling in love and making amends into amens? May each of you be blessed with love and joy year round! ReviewChristmas Love Year Round by author Elaine Stock is a beautiful and charming story that has a strong theme of forgiveness—learning to forgive, forgiveness and accepting forgiveness. It’s about past mistakes and overcoming and moving past them to become better and more accepting of those around. Stock has written a heartwarming and sweet story that not only includes the theme of forgiveness, but a sweet and delightful holiday romance as well. The children in the story also add an excellent depth that it wouldn’t otherwise have. Readers will be delighted with this enjoyable and entertaining holiday story that has the realities of the ups and downs of real life. This is a story that readers will not want to put down until the last page is turned.
