It was the summer of storms and strays and strangers. The summer that lightning struck the big oak tree in the front yard. The summer his mother died in a tragic accident. As he recalls the tumultuous events that launched a surprising journey, Samuel can still hardly believe it all happened.
After his mother's death, twelve-year-old Samuel Chambers would do anything to turn back time. Prompted by three strange carnival fortune-tellers and the surfacing of his mysterious and reclusive neighbor, Samuel begins his search for the Tree of Life--the only thing that could possibly bring his mother back. His quest to defeat death entangles him and his best friend Abra in an ancient conflict and forces Samuel to grapple with an unwelcome question: could it be possible that death is a gift? Haunting and hypnotic, The Day the Angels Fell is a story that explores the difficult questions of life in a voice that is fresh, friendly, and unafraid. With this powerful debut, Shawn Smucker has carved out a spot for himself in the tradition of authors Madeleine L'Engle and Lois Lowry. All She Left Behind by Jane Kirkpatrick
Jennie Pickett is a natural healer, but her dreams to become a doctor in 1870s Oregon put her at odds with the world around her. As she struggles to keep her dream alive, she finds that the road to fulfillment winds past love, heartache, and plenty of surprises along the way.

When Amelia discovers that the family is wealthy and influential, dare she disclose the truth of her relationship with their son? Or could the celebration of the arrival of another unexpected baby nearly two thousand years ago be the answer to her dilemma?
Beloved author Melody Carlson pens a story of love, hardship, and reconciliation that will leave readers filled with Christmas joy. These Healing Hills by Ann H. Gabhart

His future shrouded in as much mist as his beloved mountains, he's at a loss when it comes to envisioning what's next for his life. When Francine's and Ben's paths intersect, it's immediately clear that they are from different worlds and value different things. But love has a way of healing old wounds . . . and revealing tantalizing new possibilities. Justice Buried by Patricia Bradley
In an effort to get her security consulting business off the ground, Kelsey Allen has been spending a lot of time up in the air, rappelling down buildings and climbing through windows to show business owners their vulnerabilities to thieves. When she is hired to pose as a conservator at the Pink Palace Museum in order to test their security weaknesses after some artifacts go missing, she's ecstatic. But when her investigative focus turns from theft to murder, Kelsey knows she's out of her league--and possibly in the cross hairs. When blast-from-the-past Detective Brad Hollister is called in to investigate, Kelsey may find that he's the biggest security threat yet . . . to her heart.
Crackling with romantic tension and laced with intrigue, this suspenseful story from award-winning author Patricia Bradley will keep readers guessing--and looking over their shoulders. GiveawayToday's book hangover is... Hold the Light by April McGowan with guest blogger Nicole Santana. A snippet from the book... "Unremarkable. Amber glanced out the streaming windowpane at the cityscape below her. The rain washed all the color from the sky, trees, and buildings, covering the world in grayscale brushstrokes. She traced a raindrop with her finger as she'd done as a child, watching it gather speed, collecting friends as it went, only to splat useless on the sill, pool, and drizzle away." Check out Nicole's review and interviw with the author HERE. About Nicole SantanaI have been an avid reader since birth. When life gets messy, and even when it doesn’t, I go to books! Books are the perfect place to retreat to when life is too overwhelming or when I need a fun escape. I wear a lot of hats: I am a wife, a mother, a sister to four brothers and one sister, a daughter, an aunt, and a teacher. Reading is one way to center myself so all these hats don’t weigh heavy on me. While it can get overwhelming, I do love all that God has put into my life! I am a very blessed lady. A few questions about the blogger and blogging... 1. How long have you been blogging?
I am brand new to blogging. I just started in May! But, I've been interested in blogging and reviewing novels for awhile. I really have no idea what I'm doing, but I've found an amazing community of authors and bloggers who are helping me out along the way. It's been a real blessing from God! 2. What got you started blogging? I've been wanting to start my own blog for a while, but I've been a bit intimidated. I mean, who cares what I think? But, one day this past May the feeling to create my own blog was strong. I prayed to God for about a day, and felt He was wanting me to begin this new journey. So, after praying, I took the plunge and bought my first blog site. I truly couldn't be more pleased. The community I've found myself a part of is priceless! I'm digitally surrounded by women who love Jesus and love fiction. It's wonderful!!! 3. Who are some new authors you have discovered since you started blogging?
4. What author and/or blog tour group have you been blogging for the longest? Since I'm brand new, it's about the same. I am a Litfuse reader and a Netgalley reader. I also do First-line Fridays with you guys. I have also been a part of many book launch teams: Tamera Alexander's, Katie Ganshert's, Roseanna White's, Randy Singer's, Cindy Woodsmall's, and Sarah Ladd's. It's been an amazing few months! 5. What is your favorite thing about being a blogger? Being a part of a community of readers and authors is the best part of being a blogger. I absolutely love "meeting" all of the new bloggers and authors. And, everyone has been so nice and accepting of me. I truly feel blessed by God in this new endeavor!

Launch - About the Series
Sweet with just enough heat...
Under the name Addison Cole, New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster is releasing each of her beloved, and steamy, Love in Bloom titles in a “sweet with heat” version. The new Sweet with Heat series has no explicit love scenes or harsh language, but her voice is naturally passionate, and because of that, the stories convey all of the heat you expect between two people in love (within the confines of the “sweet” genre). The stories and characters in Sweet with Heat remain mostly the same as the Love in Bloom series, however, in addition to the omission of graphic sexual scenes and cursing, certain characters have also been repositioned.
It's All About the Romance - Excerpt
She stared at the phone, unable to believe she’d been seconds away from winning what she was sure was her father’s baseball and had lost it. She hated phones. She hated eBay. She hated bidding against nonexistent people in tiny little stupid phones. She hated the whole thing so much she turned and hurled the phone over the deck.
Wow.
That felt really, really good.

Book Lover in Florida - Review
"Charming and whimsical romance with a bite set in Cape Cod. The story flowed smoothly and had just enough tender and passion to leave some to the imagination."
Wishful Endings - Review
"SUNSETS AT SEASIDE is a romance story about a woman who is trying to find out what a normal life would be like and a man who has been largely labelled for his wealth and business acumen who find a chance for love with each other. There is a group of friends who are the focus of other stories in the series who bring a family/small-town feel to this story. Readers can expect some drama, romantic tension, and the usual twist in the story that creates a barrier to these two finding their happily-ever-after."
The Bookworm Chronicles - Excerpt
“Ouch! What the…” A deep male voice rose up to her.
Jessica crouched and peered between the balusters. Standing on the gravel road just a few feet from her building, in a pair of black running shorts and no shirt, was the nicest butt she’d ever seen, attached to a tanned back that was glistening with sweat and rippled with muscles. Holy moly, they didn’t make orchestra musicians with bodies like that. Not that she’d know, considering that they were always properly covered in black suits and white shirts, but could a body like that even be hidden?

“So, you claim you’re not a phone thrower or a kisser. What kind of girl are you?” His arm remained around her waist as they walked down the gravel road toward her apartment.
She shrugged. “I’m not really sure. That’s kind of why I took the summer off. To find out.”
Inside the Mind of an Avid Reader - Review
"Sunsets at Seaside by Addison Cole is the 4th book in the Sweet with Heat Seaside Summer Series. Jessica and Jamie are such a sweet loving couple. I adored them from the beginning. It was one of those love at first sight things. The immediately fell for each other and I immediately fell for them. . . . This is the second book I have read in the series and I absolutely can not wait to read more."
My Devotional Thoughts - Review
"I won’t ruin the story for you, but this is typical romantic fare with the masterful writing of Addison Cole. It is very easy to see why her books are so well-received. She writes with passion and description that often makes things a bit hot and heavy.. . . . this is a romance novel that I definitely recommend to those who want to disappear into a romantic story with passion, humor, and relatable characters."
underneath the covers - Excerpt
Jamie shook his head. “Vera is going to love you, and I have a feeling I’m going to be left in the dust tomorrow. Maybe I need to rethink my position on this date.”
Her mouth went dry, and she dropped her eyes.
With their hands still entwined, he used his finger to lift her chin and gazed into her eyes. He leaned down and kissed away all the worry that had coiled in her belly.

ReviewLooking Glass Lies by Varina Denman is a powerful emotionally riveting novel that readers will not soon forget. It is about the struggles that women have with self-esteem. It is the hard and saddening truth of how some women view themselves, sometimes based on what others say or how others react around them and how these women choose to deal with it. Denman has crafted a story that will pull at the heartstrings of those that read it. This is a novel that is not always the easiest to read due to the raw emotions it evokes, but is totally worth it.
