 Summary On the night of their engagement party, Marianne Denton is enraged when her fiancé, Noah Brenin leaves the party early to set sail on his ship, The Fortune, with goods to sell in England. Angry and hurt, Marianne follows him to his ship and unbeknownst to him boards.
