About the Book
I am a princess! Little girls cherish this simple truth, but as the years advance and childhood fades, it becomes increasingly difficult to hold on to this statement. However, the eternal reality of those simple words is indisputable. Women are princesses, divine children of noble heritage. In her debut book, Wendy Ellison reminds women of that worth—constant, unchanging, and inherent as daughters of God. Now is the time for women to claim that marvelous heritage, to be kinder to self and others, and to truly live in a manner befitting royalty. Featuring scriptural references, prophetic quotes, and personal insights, Worth: Divine Beginnings, Happy Endings will inspire readers to see the evidence of individual worth all around—in the love of our Savior, in our Father’s plan of salvation, and in countless other ways too often overlooked. By learning to hold on to the true definition of worth and to silence those outside influences that interfere with self-esteem, every woman can be empowered to dismiss self-doubt and to embrace the princess within.
About the Author
Wendy Ellison was born and raised in Lehi, Utah, where her parents taught by example values like honesty and hard work. She has published articles in the "Friend" and "LDS Living" magazines. Something that happened a few years ago in a fabric store got her thinking and writing about divinely based self-worth. "Worth: Divine Beginnings, Happy Endings" is the result of that sweet experience and is her first published book. Wendy enjoys writing, sewing, fall mornings, burnt almond fudge ice cream and watching sappy 1980s murder mystery reruns. She adores her husband, children, their spouses and six darling littles who call her Grandma.
Review
Debut author Wendy Ellison has written a book that will influence, encourage, and inspire women to be reminded and become the princesses that they truly are! In each chapter, with the different and similar chapters, Ellison reminds women of their potential, worth, and divinity. This book was written to influence and encourage women everywhere, especially LDS women, reminding them of the princesses that they truly are. This is a quick little pick me up book that would be great for young women and Relief Society Sisters. For women needing a bit of a spiritual lift, this is just the read.

Bachelor Remedy by Carol Ross She’s the most unconventional woman he’ll ever meet… and the cure for a perennial bachelor? Raised by her healer grandfather, former army medic Ally Mowak knows her alternative approach to traditional medicine puts her at odds with most of her Alaskan town. That includes Tag James, the rugged transport pilot with the sprawling family and political ambitions. Ally couldn’t be more wrong for the aspiring senator. Then why does everything feel so right when they’re together? “No." Ally looked offended. "And that’s not why you like me, either. We didn’t feel anything the first couple times we met, did we? Except for irritation. I didn’t even remember who you were at one point and you thought I was a crackpot. Maybe still do, a bit.” This was true, mostly. “Crackpot is kind of a strong term,” Tag hedged. She chuckled. “Don’t start pulling the political correctness card on me now. I know what you thought of me. And I thought you were just another arrogant know-it-all. I’m attracted to you because you’re not those things. You are confident and smart and incredibly thoughtful and kind. You love your family, and from what I’ve seen you’re extra good to them all, especially your sisters. You’re also a paramedic, a decent basketball player and an excellent pilot, and I’ll admit I find that particular skill set highly attractive.” Toast. He was toast. How was he supposed to resist this—her? He was 100 percent certain he’d never been tested this way in his entire life. And he’d thought running for the senate was going to be his biggest challenge. Carol Ross always creates characters and stories and romances that immediately capture your attention and keep you captive until you’ve read the last word. As for the story...dive in knowing you will get a fully developed storyline, wonderful characters all around, and an extremely satisfying happily-ever-after. Ross writes dialogue that is fresh, fun, and realistic just like the story itself. Author Carol Ross USA Today bestselling author Carol Ross grew up in small town America right between the Pacific Ocean and the Cascade Mountains, in a place where you can go deep sea fishing in the morning and then hit the ski slopes the same afternoon. The daughter of what is now known as free range parents, she developed a love of the outdoors at a very early age. As a writer, Carol loves to breathe the life she has lived into the characters she creates, grateful for the “research material” that every questionable decision, adrenaline-charged misstep, and near-death experience has provided.
Finding Peace by Melanie D. Snitker Police Officer Tuck Chandler is good at his job. He’s also good at holding women at arm’s length. Jilted by his fiancée for his dedication to his job, he’s not about to open himself up to hurt like that again. Laurie Blake is a struggling photographer. After growing up in a wealthy family, she’s determined to make it on her own, even if it means doing it the hard way. When Tuck is assigned to a puzzling burglary involving Laurie’s fledgling photography business, he goes into it with his usual perseverance. He wants to help her – if she’ll let him. As the case unfolds and the mystery deepens, another question arises. Will the past get in the way of their future? “Look. I wanted to apologize for yesterday.” Of all the things Tuck might have said, that was not what Laurie had expected. “That isn’t necessary.” Tuck stopped walking and touched her elbow. “I think that it is. I know my comment about us being friends bothered you. Which was the last thing I wanted.” “It was silly of me to take offense at what you said. There’s nothing to apologize for.” “I don’t think anything about you is silly.” Tuck’s expression was open, and she just wished she knew what he was thinking. She took in a deep breath to steady her nerves. “I had the impression… Or at least I thought…” Closing her eyes, she tried to form the right words and work up the courage to let them pass her lips. “I thought there might have been something there. Because of that, I took what you said way too personally. I was wrong and I’m sorry about that.” Feeling incredibly uncomfortable, she started down the path again. After only a couple of steps, she felt his strong hand gently hold her arm and tug her to a stop. She pivoted around and sought his eyes for an explanation. “You weren’t wrong.” The intensity in his gaze warmed her from the inside out. “I wasn’t?” Her words were breathless as she spoke them. Tuck collected the strands of her hair that were blowing freely in the breeze and deposited them behind her ear. “Look, I had a relationship in the past that fell apart because of my job. It really did a number on my confidence.” “What happened?” They walked side by side as he told her about Jana and how much she had come to resent the interruptions his job brought to their lives. He shrugged. “What kind of guy doesn’t know his fiancée is unhappy enough to cancel their engagement?” “A guy whose fiancée isn’t honest with him?” “I wish it were as simple as that.” He kicked a dirt clod with the toe of his boot and it tumbled down the slight embankment and into the pond. Laurie stopped their progress. Ducks swam by and she watched as the ripples from their movement traveled across the surface of the pond. “It never is. Look, even if it was all your fault, are you really supposed to torture yourself over it for the rest of your life?” “I was actually okay with that. Until my issues started to affect someone else I’m beginning to care about.” Her breath caught as his gaze slowly explored her face and settled on her lips. A Wedding for the Widower by Liz Isaacson A widower with a son, a widow with breast cancer, and their path toward true love... Former rodeo champion and cowboy Walker Thompson trains horses at Brush Creek Horse Ranch, where he lives a simple life in his cabin with his ten-year-old son, Michael. A widower of six years, he's just trying to provide a life for Michael that his late wife would've approved of. He's worked with Tess Wagner, a widow who came to Brush Creek to escape the turmoil of her life to give her seven-year-old son, Graham, a slower pace of life. Together, they run a cotton candy stand at the town's Heritage Festival every fall, donating the money they raise to the National Widows & Widowers Foundation to help those who've suffered the way they have. Walker's boss and best friend, ranch owner Landon Edmunds, has encouraged him to start dating, and Walker looks no further than Tess. She's interested in him too, but neither of them wants to inflict more sorrow and suffering on the other than they've already endured. So when Tess confesses that her breast cancer has flared up again, Walker backs off. Way off. In the end, he'll have to decide if he'd rather spend even a short time with Tess and Graham than not have them in his life at all. Tess wants to feel God's love and power, but she'll have to discover and accept God's will in order to find her happy ending.
One Week Only The books in the Brush Creek Brides Series are on sale for just 99 cents each! April 5th to 11th An hour later, he pulled his truck into the parking lot at Oxbow Park. The place was already bustling with activity as vendors and volunteers set up booths, hung signs, and cleared pathways. “I’ll grab the machine,” Walker said as he opened his door. “You grab the sacks and twist ties, all right?” “All right.” Walker took a moment to appreciate his son. He had Walker’s shock of black hair and his skin that seemed to soak up the sun’s rays. But he looked back at Walker with eyes the exact color of Libby’s—hazel, with more brown than green—and the shape of his nose mirrored hers as well. More rounded and flat, whereas Walker sported a long, straight nose. “Will Tess have the sugar?” Michael asked as Walker lowered the tailgate. “Supposed to.” For some reason, his heart kicked out an extra beat at the thought of Tess Wagner. He’d been friends with Tess since the day she moved to Brush Creek, four years ago. She’d shown up with a two-year-old son and a tragic story about her husband dying in a sheet metal accident, at the very salvage center that he owned. They’d been selling cotton candy and donating the proceeds to the National Widow and Widowers Foundation for the past four summers. Walker had never known Tess to be late, and she wasn’t today either. He found her in their usual location—right across from the lemonade stand—setting up the awning that would protect them from the worst of the sun. His feet slowed when he saw her, allowing Michael to get ahead of him. Tess had a small flower pinned in her super short blonde hair. She wore a pair of dark blue shorts and a tank top that boasted her slender shoulders and the length of her neck. Walker’s face heated, something that had decidedly never happened when he’d encountered Tess before. He wasn’t sure why he was reacting this way to a woman he’d been friends with for years. Stupid Megan and her stupid insistence about dating, Walker thought as he finally got his feet moving again. Although, if Walker were really being honest with himself, if he had to start dating again, Tess would be his first choice. He swallowed hard and hefted the cotton candy machine onto the table the town provided. “Morning,” he said and turned his back on Tess so he could get control of himself. At thirty-six years old, he shouldn’t have to deal with raging hormones. “Morning,” she chirped. “Michael, Graham’s over on the playground. You can go on over, if you want.” Walker glanced up, because he knew his son would look to him for permission before running off. Sure enough, Michael was watching him. “Go on,” Walker said with a smile, thinking Tess’s seven-year-old son was the perfect friend for Michael. Maybe he should just ask Tess out. He was grown-up. So was she. She’d been married before. They both had sons. They had a lot in common. Why shouldn’t he go out with her? Why shouldn’t I? He tilted his head back and glanced into the sky, pleading with the Lord to give him a single reason to stay away from Tess Wagner. Nothing came. Only the richest, bluest sky stared back. At the very least, it would get Megan Edmunds off his back about “putting himself out there.” Determined in his plan to leave the festival that evening with a date on the horizon, he was finally able to relax in Tess’s presence.
