Summary Since the death of his uncle, Errol Stone has been nothing but a drunkard; working for the local herb woman to earn him enough coin to drink. When a church messenger arrives with an important message for the local priest, who lives like a hermit in the hills, Errol takes upon him the task of delivering the missive. While trying to deliver his pack to the priest, Erroll is attacked and hunted by assassins. Errol leaves his homeland on a journey with the priest and his helper. Little does Erroll know that he has a unique gift of reading stones, foretelling the future and that he will be entangled in a game of hide-and-seek as he goes on a quest to help save the kingdom?
