About the Author

Sherrie Gavin was born and raised in upstate New York, USA. Always looking for romance, adventure, and with a love of writing, she travelled to Australia and fell in love with a true Aussie bloke named Bruce. ‘Sruth! They married and began adventuring together, joined by two beautiful daughters who are the loves of their lives. She loves her family, her husband, cooking yummy things, travel and writing.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sherrie loves studying religion, learning about other religious traditions, and is a huge fan of the visiting teaching program.   She currently lives remotely, so does her visiting teaching by mail, email, and phone.

Author Sherrie Gavin and illustrator Tatiana Lawton have come together and created a fun, colorful, and inspiring read about baptism for young LDS children.  The story brings to light the hesitancy of not knowing or understanding the details of and for baptism, but with the help of Grandad and a boomerang, a better understanding develops.  This is a delightful and inspiring story that young children taking the step to baptism, as well as those converting to the LDS faith will relate to and enjoy.
