He has a passion for teaching about a wide range of topics nature related, and loves passing it along to his two sons. His youngest son, Colton, was the inspiration behind The Adventures of Popcorn and Jellybean, where it all started as a simple bedtime story. Bob currently resides in Carlsbad, California, and works as a professional interpreter guide at a world renowned conservation organization. ReviewRobert Gillespie’s story The Adventures of Popcorn and Jellybean is a story about the outdoors adventure of two friends. At first glance, the book appears to be a fun and colorful picture book for young children. But on further examination, is split up into mini-chapters with lots of text and few pictures. Although the story does have a few colorful pictures and the story is fun and entertaining, it better fits the understanding of an older child that is further along in grade school and understanding reading. This story goes through some of Mother Nature’s creations and creatures which is fun for children to learn about. Genre: childrens, environment, nature Publisher: Page Publishing Inc. What will Andi's friends think? But it turns out embarrassment is the last thing Andi needs to worry about when two outlaws kidnap Andi and her mother after school in a case of mistaken identity! They can't even tell the kidnappers a mistake has been made without putting themselves in even more danger. Now they're being held in a remote cabin until Mother can teach the man in charge how to read--and he's willing to go to any length to make it happen. Andi must escape and find help. But can she lead a rescue party back to Mother before the outlaws take their new teacher--and disappear forever? About the AuthorI started writing stories when I was about ten years old. I never intended to become a published author. I just liked writing stories for myself and for my younger sister, Julie. Once I began sharing my stories outside my family, enough people encouraged me to submit to publishers. They wouldn't let me give up! With the publication of the first book in my Circle C Adventures, Andrea Carter and the Long Ride Home, I discovered that is really is more fun to share my stories with others then to keep them to myself. Besides the Circle C Adventures, I've gone on to write the Circle C Beginnings (a young Andi Carter), the new Circle C Milestones (a teen Andrea Carter), Tales from the Circle C Ranch (a collection of short stories from Andi's point of view), and the Goldtown Adventures, gold-rush adventures geared more toward boys. I have a degree in elementary education and love to teach. I taught in Christian schools before I began home schooling. After twenty years, I've finished home schooling but find myself "back in the saddle" as I help other homeschooling families, including my grandchildren. I teach writing workshops for kids, speak at public and Christian schools about the writing process, am a freelance editor, enjoy my ten grandkids, and . . . write stories, of course. I've had a lot of fun writing about Andi Carter's adventures in the 1800s. In this picture I'm enjoying some time with Star ("Taffy"). I wish Star were mine, but he belongs to my friend Vicki, who generously let me hang out at her stables and take pictures of "Taffy" and "Dixie" (the pinto horse, Patches, in Andrea Carter and the Family Secret). ReviewBook four in the Circle C Stepping Stones series, Andi to the Resuce, by Susan K. Marlow is another fun and delightful story from this charming series that young readers will be sure to love. This story is a bit of an adventure, with kidnapping and outlaws involved. It teaches about being strong and brave, even when there are unexpected and scary situations. It is also about friendship and family. This is an engaging and well-written children’s story that readers, especially those that enjoy historical fiction and adventure, will be sure to enjoy.

About the BookWhen the Circle C ranch decides to host a rodeo competition with two other ranches, dozens of cowboys are eager to prove they're the best riders and ropers in the valley. But they're not the only ones who want to show off their skills--Andi aims to lasso her way to the prizes, even if big brother Chad says the contest isn't for kids. The roundup is meant to be a time for food, fun, and friendship. But before Andi can prove she's got what it takes to be a real cowgirl, the day turns dangerous. Will a friendly rodeo turn into a range war between ranchers and sheepherders? Can Andi and her family keep their neighbors--and themselves--safe?
