1-Favourite quote: “You do not have a soul.  You are a soul.  You have a body.” - C.S. Lewis
There is actually some argument about whether or not Lewis actually said it, but I do not love it because of who did or did not say it. I love it because of the meaning. We are made to be eternal beings. The body we wear is not capable of that, so whoever said it, clearly had the right of it.

2-Favourite book: Psalms - in the King James Version of The Holy Bible.

3-Favourite soda: I don't usually drink soda. I have been known to drink a root beer float, but only for celebrations. I am a huge fan of coffee!

4-Favourite dessert: Anything chocolate!

5-Favourite T.V. series: We have not had cable in years, but once upon a time, my favorite show was "Judging Amy".

6-Favourite vacation spot: Myrtle Beach!

7-Favourite season: Winter!

8-Favourite restaurant: Macaroni Grill.

9-Favourite flower: Sterling Roses.

10-Favourite author: DJ Mynatt! Her memoir about NaNoWriMo is an amazing read! Also, I happen to know that she has a fiction novel in the works . . . Amish suspense. I can hardly wait to read it!

Picture
“Like your own personal fairy tale . . .”
At the time she had sneered at his words.
Now . . . here . . . in this place, she was surrounded by the confinement of the palace; the ostentatious décor, the fancy food, the ridiculous ensembles . . .
Fairy tale indeed . . . biting off the rest of what she had been thinking, she turned to pace, not realizing she had begun to mutter aloud.
“What kind of stupid girl wants this sort of fairy tale? Not this one; that's for sure. Why would Alfreid think I want a fairy tale?”
She let out a huff of frustration.
“What if Cinderella had been sent to kill The Prince?”
Now that's my kind of fairy tale . . .
The sound of her laughter echoed back at her as it bounced off the marble walls. - Snippet from "A Reluctant Assassin" by JC Morrows

Dreamtreaders (Dreamtreaders #1) by Wayne Thomas Batson

11/6/2015

About the Book

Picture
Book #1 in a trilogy from fantasy author Wayne Thomas Batson explores the concept of dreams and their effects on us.

People are fascinated by dreams, and the Bible has a great deal to say about them. From Jacob s dream of the heavenly stairway in Genesis 28 to angels visiting Joseph during dreams in Matthew 1 to the Apostle John s waking dream from which he obtained the book of Revelation dreams have been powerful ingredients of God s plan as revealed through Scripture.

Fourteen-year-old Archer Keaton discovers he has the ability to enter and explore his dreams. He is adreamtreader, one of three selected from each generation. Their mission: to protect the waking world from the Nightmare Lord, who wreaks chaos in the Dream World. But as Archer s dreams become more dangerous and threatening, so too does his waking life.

Rigby Thames, the new kid from England, builds a suspicious rock star-like following at Dresden High School a little too quickly. Even Archer s best friend and confidant, Kara Windchil, seems taken in by the cool guy with the wild blond hair, which definitely rubs Archer the wrong way. Archer must face two foes in two worlds, but he cannot succeed alone. Archer sets off to find other dreamtreaders in a desperate attempt to defeat the enemy terrorizing his friends and family.
