About the BookAfter his father divorces his mother because of her Jewish ancestry, Rafe and the rest of his family flee Germany. As a B-17 navigator, he returns to Europe. On the ocean voyage, he meets Jennie, an artist journeying to Sweden to work with the OSS. Flying missions against his former homeland arouses emotions that surprise Rafe. Despite being rejected, he is troubled by the destruction of Germany and his heart still cries for his father’s love. Sweden may be neutral, but it’s full of intrigue. Jennie assists the OSS at the American legation in Sweden. She thought she’d be doing passive, behind-the-scenes work. Instead, she’s pushed into an active role to gain intelligence and frustrate the Germans. How can Rafe and Jennie succeed in their dangerous roles when they are so conflicted? About the AuthorTerri Wangard grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, during the Lombardi Glory Years. Her first Girl Scout badge was the Writer. These days she is writing historical fiction, and won the 2013 Writers on the Storm contest and 2013 First Impressions, as well as being a 2012 Genesis finalist. Holder of a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in library science, she lives in Wisconsin. Her research included going for a ride in a WWII B-17 Flying Fortress bomber. Classic Boating Magazine, a family business since 1984, keeps her busy as an associate editor. Guest Post from Terri WangardI hadn’t planned on writing No Neutral Ground. Friends and Enemies (book one of the Promise For Tomorrow series) was the WWII story I’d wanted to write, inspired by family history on the German side. Finishing that, I’d started writing a contemporary story set in one of my favorite places, Green Lake, Wisconsin. At an ACFW conference, I had an appointment to pitch Friends and Enemies with an editor. She said I’d be likelier to get a contract if I had a series. The Green Lake story got shelved. What could I write to partner with Friends and Enemies? That stumped me. The German side of the story was my big interest, but another one? No. I had no desire to return to Nazi Germany. My ancestry is three quarters German. All of my forbearers arrived in America before 1900, but it’s still a bitter thought that their homeland spawned such evil. Germany’s out, so that left me with the other side of Friends and Enemies—the B-17s. I’d chosen the Flying Fortress because of my timeline. In mid-1944, the only American military men in Germany were shot-down airmen. I had plenty of material I hadn’t used in Friends and Enemies, but the plot had to be different. Something other writers hadn’t touched on. Maybe…Sweden? Who’s familiar with Sweden’s role in World War II? If American planes got in trouble during their missions and couldn’t make it back to their bases in England, they sought sanctuary in neutral countries. Switzerland is usually the first that comes to mind. Tricia Goyer had already written The Swiss Courier which touches on internees. But Sweden. I had even visited Sweden. In 1993, my dad and I had gone to Sweden to cover a classic boat show for our magazine, Classic Boating. During a free day, we had wandered around Stockholm and taken lots of pictures. I started the research and discovered, hmm, there’s not much, especially if you don’t know Swedish. One book I acquired held a eureka moment. A B-17 was damaged and the pilot told the crew to bail out. The navigator hurried to the cockpit and implored him to try to make it to Sweden. He was from Germany, a former member of the Hitler Youth, and he did not want to be captured by his former countrymen. There’s my male protagonist! Rafe discovered he had Jewish ancestry and had to flee Germany. Now he’s back at war with the homeland. I still needed a female protagonist, and Jennie proved hard to pin down. I was pulling her together throughout the writing. I enjoyed reading accounts of Betty McIntosh, who served with the OSS in the China-Burma-India theater. Why not enlist Jennie’s services with the OSS in Sweden? She’s talented but lacks confidence. Pretty soon, Jennie found her voice. As my research continued, I made a surprising discovery. One of the photos I’d taken in Stockholm turned out to be the former home of the American legation in Sweden. Jennie’s workplace. And I had thought it was just an example of lovely architecture. I hope you’ll enjoy reading about Rafe and Jennie in No Neutral Ground. ReviewWatch for my review coming soon... A review copy of this book was provided by the publisher via CelebrateLit. Why not relax with an adult coloring book? Rachel J. Good’s Amish Quilts Coloring Book takes you back to a time and place that’s calm. Immerse yourself in a world of peace as you color the 25 different quilts. Inspired by quilts seen in Amish country, many of these designs are based on traditional patterns, but some have been reimagined or repeated multiple times to create more intricate designs to color. Each quilt is printed on only one side of the page; facing pages contain inspirational Amish proverbs. To make the quilts even more colorful and interesting, sketch fabric designs – plaids, checks, paisleys, flowers, or abstract shapes – into the larger quilt blocks, use pattern stamps, or even collage fabric scraps to the pages. And if the designs inspire you to make quilts of your own, the pages can be used as templates for quilt-making. About the AuthorRachel J. Good, inspirational author, writes life-changing, heartfelt novels of faith, hope, and forgiveness. She is the author of Amish romances in the Sisters & Friends series. She grew up near Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, the setting for her novels. A former teacher and librarian, she completed her MA from Vermont College while raising five children. She is presently an MFA student in Writing and Illustration at Hollins University. In addition to having more than 2200 articles and 30 books in print or forthcoming under several pseudonyms, she also juggles freelance editing and illustration careers. My Coloring PagesReviewAdult coloring books are fun and relaxing. This Amish Quilts coloring book is no different. It was fun to think about different colors to use for the quilt patterns. The two pages I received to color had intricate designs, but were still fun to color. The two above graphics are just a sampling of what I colored and what is in this beautiful coloring book. I would recommend this Amish Quilt Coloring Book to adults that enjoy Amish related books, as well as Amish quilts. About the BookHumiliated after her broken engagement, Claire Montgomery flees her comfortable life in San Francisco for a teaching position in Pine Creek, Washington, a dot of a town nestled in the rugged Cascade Mountains. She’s determined to succeed—for once in her life—only to discover, upon her arrival, that success will have to be won. Thanks to a school board error, two teachers have been hired. When scandal forces professor Barrett Clarke from his position, he returns to Pine Creek where his uncle, chairman of the school board, sets forth an irresistible offer: teach one year in return for ranchland. For this would-be rancher, nothing is more tempting than resurrecting his childhood dream, and nothing can deter him from earning that land. Except perhaps Claire Montgomery. Losing the battle for the classroom means losing the ranchland, but winning may mean losing Claire’s heart. About the AuthorA native of Washington State, Sondra Kraak grew up playing in the rain, hammering out Chopin at the piano, and running up and down the basketball court. Now settled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, blogging about spiritual truths, and writing historical romance set in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She delights in sharing stories that not only entertain, but nourish the soul. Her debut novel, One Plus One Equals Trouble, was an ACFW Genesis semi-finalist (2015) and the winner of the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference Unpublished Women’s Fiction Award (2015). ReviewTwo teachers. One job opening. And they will both fight for what they believe is rightfully theirs, but falling in love was not part of the equation… Sondra Kraak has written a charming western romance that readers will fall in love with from page one. With an engaging and entertaining story and characters readers will absolutely love, the backdrop of small town Pine Creek, Washington along the Cascade Mountains also enhances this wonderful story and cast of characters. With a continual banter between school teachers Claire Montgomery and Barrett Clark, readers are in for an enjoyable time, and of course a bit of romance. I would recommend this novel to readers that enjoy western romance novels. threatening Guinevere’s fragile sanity and eventually driving her into the arms of her champion.
Amid this tension a new challenge arises for the king and queen of Camelot: finding the Holy Grail, a sacred relic that promises lasting unity. But peace, as they will soon learn, can be just as dangerous as war. As the court begins to turn on itself, it becomes clear that the quest that was to be Arthur’s lasting legacy may end in the burning fires of condemnation. This highly anticipated sequel to Daughter of Destiny proves there is much more to Guinevere’s story than her marriage and an affair. See the legend you think you know through her eyes and live the adventure of Camelot’s golden days yourself – but prepared to suffer its downfall as well. About the Author

About the Book
Out of the war and into another, Captain Lord Anthony Hargreaves finds the politics of romance to be as uninviting a battle as the one that nearly cost him his life in Badajoz, Spain.
Wounded both mentally and physically from the Peninsular War in 1812, Anthony returns home to find that his older brother has died, placing Anthony next in line to inherit the estate. But he’s not ready for such responsibilities. And when Anthony’s dying father pleads with him to marry and produce an heir to preserve the family title, it nearly sends Anthony over the edge; nevertheless he dutifully faces a long line of hopeful young ladies who await him. No one grabs his attention, though, like Amelia Clarke, his mother’s stunning companion, who is off-limits for the earl. But when Anthony unwittingly puts Amelia in a compromising situation, he dedicates himself to protecting her reputation. But the horrors Anthony faced while away from home have left him feeling broken and tormented. And Anthony finds himself drawn to Miss Clarke, the only one who can chase away his demons, but he must overcome the hostility of a society driven by class, a jealous duke bent on revenge, and himself—for could Amelia ever really love a haunted man? About the Author

Review
I absolutely adore regency romance novels and Karen Tuft’s The Earl’s Betrothal was a new and delightful read! Off fighting in the war Captain Lord Anthony Hargreaves returns home from battle to discover that his family all thought he was dead. His return is quite a shock, but brings about much excitement. Upon his arrival home though much has changed, his mother has a pretty, talented, and well-spoken companion, Amelia Clarke. His sickly father also wants him to marry and produce an heir quickly, adding to the intensity of his problems. When Captain Hargreaves is unintentionally caught in a compromising situation with Ms. Clarke, he announces that they are engaged in order to save her reputation. But although, Captain Hargreaves is home and soon to wed, he is still haunted by what he saw and witnessed in the war. With social hostilities against Amelia intensifying, and the demons of the war still haunting Captain Hargreaves, will they be able to find love? Karen has written a beloved, sweet regency romance. With enjoyable characters and a page turning story from beginning to end. This novel is full of wit, humor, compromising situations, war demons, and perhaps even love. This novel is one that every regency romance reader will not want to miss.

Meet Finn LearyAge 28 5'3" tall 110 lbs. Brown eyes Brown hair (chin-length bob, curly) Ballerina-like build. Owner, The Right Note Café Character backgrounds: Finn Leary has been more or less on her own from the age of 12, when she started waiting tables to help care for her younger sister and problems-riddled parents. Between work and school, she had very little time for fun or friendship, and spending so much time alone gave her ample opportunity to ponder how life ought to be, and holding on to what little respect she has left for them is a struggle, but she does her best for Ciara’s sake. By the time she meets Sam, Finn has put her trust in just one other person: Pete Maxon. From the get-go, he became surrogate father to the entire Leary family, providing jobs and a place to stay…even when Misty and Connor repeatedly let him down. There isn’t another man like Pete, and when Finn loses him, she feels completely lost and alone…and more certain than ever that if she doesn’t take care of herself and Ciara, no one will. She’s furious with her parents—and every other self-centered wanna-be artist whose quest for stardom comes at such a high price, to themselves and those who rely on them. So while Finn likes and admires Sam, she doesn’t want to, because it means putting her heart in someone else’s hands, someone who—like her parents—will eventually let her down. Unfortunately, time is the only true test of Sam’s sincerity. More unfortunately, Sam seems in a rush to bring future hopes into the present: Family, home, advancement in the department. Plus he hasn’t given up his dreams of performing. And in Finn’s score book, that’s two strikes against him. Will her cynical viewpoint force him to hit strike three…even if it’s only in her own mind? About the BookThe death of the clan patriarch has thrown the tiny Shetland Islands community of Whale’s Reef into turmoil. Everyone assumed MacGregor Tulloch’s heir to be his grand-nephew David, a local favorite, but when it is discovered that MacGregor left no will, David’s grasping cousin Hardy submits his own claim to the inheritance, an estate that controls most of the island’s land. And while Hardy doesn’t enjoy much popular support, he has the backing of a shadowy group of North Sea oil investors. The courts have frozen the estate’s assets while the competing claims are investigated, leaving many of the residents in financial limbo. The future of the island—and its traditional way of life—hangs in the balance. Loni Ford is enjoying her rising career in a large investment firm in Washington, DC. Yet in spite of her outward success, she is privately plagued by questions of identity. Orphaned as a young child, she was raised by her paternal grandparents, and while she loves them dearly, she feels completely detached from her roots. That is until a mysterious letter arrives from a Scottish solicitor. . . . Past and present collide in master storyteller Phillips’s dramatic new saga of loss and discovery, of grasping and grace, and of the dreams of men and women everywhere. About the AuthorMichael Phillips is a bestselling author with more than 70 of his own titles. In addition, he has served as editor/redactor of nearly 30 more books. He is known as the man responsible for the reawakened interest in George MacDonald of the last 30 years. Michael and his wife, Judy, spend time each year in Scotland but make their home near Sacramento, California. Connect with Michael on FACEBOOK. ReviewThe Inheritance by Michael Phillips is the first novel in his Secrets of the Shetlands Series. It was slow moving for me at the beginning and throughout the book, so I tended to want to skim the pages to get through the book faster. Also, I expected there to be a bit more going on with the story after seeing the cover of the book and reading the back of the book blurb. But I did enjoy how this story is written in such a way that readers can easily get through the short chapters and has been deeply researched for historical accuracy. I would recommend this novel to readers that enjoy a mixture of historical and contemporary fiction all in one book, as well as for readers that have previously read Michael Phillips’ work.
