Eliza Bennet works for snobbish Will Darcy’s company, Revolutionary Innovations, as an efficiency expert. One day out of the blue he proposes to her. She is shocked and of course tells him no. Besides why in the world would he ask her to marry him? They hardly know each other and has always thought of him as the enemy. The situation becomes more confusing when Will suddenly has to leave town on family business, leaving Eliza in charge at the office. During his absence, Will asks a favor of Eliza. Will’s nine-teen-year-old sister, Georgia, has been taken advantage of and he needs Eliza to gather some clothes and bring them to Las Vegas in Darcy’s private jet while they find and put behind bars the man in charge. Eliza decides to go, taking her mother with her as well in order to celebrate her mother’s birthday. While in Vegas Eliza’s mom schemes to get Eliza and Darcy together. Georgia enjoys Eliza’s company and wouldn’t mind it either. Eliza and Will are completely different, will they be able to set aside their differences and find a common interest and love, or will they continue to argue and resent one another?

Teen bestselling author, Jenni James has crafted a fantastic adult novel. Full of adventure and romance, this novel is yet another enchanting retelling. Jenni has made taken a new perspective on the characters in this spin-off of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. This exciting new novel is just as amusing and exciting as her other previous teen series. I would recommend this novel to any reader who loves retellings, as well as any of Jenni’s other novels.
